On Feb 22nd the Asian lion cubs (born Nov 13th, 2011) stepped outside for the first time. Now they are big enough to discover the outside world escorted by mum Shantee. On fine days the cubs will be outside, otherwise they can be admired in their indoor enclosure. Click here to watch their first outdoor photos and movie>>

Mum is Shantee and dad is Kumari. Both  lion cubs, a boy and a girl, have not been named yet. Rotterdam Zoo hopes that they will be adopted by way of the animal adoption programme.
